Is it tigre? Not sure whether to be flattered or slightly alarmed at you remembering that. Anyway, so what if I have mentioned it before? Especially as some keep missing the point.

Hi Jackie, I suppose I remembered it because of your post sometime ago, moaning about the forum being too right wing, so every time you have a pop at the right wing it tends to jog my memory! Sorry, it’s not flattery and certainly no need to be alarmed.   :rose:

A written note, turns a nutter into a terrorist, I take it nutters  are incapable of writing.
Logically, would  some group like ISIS, order a bloke to drive all the way into central Paris, then shoot one policeman. I would have thought it would be far more likely that any operation would try to involve as much death and mayhem as possible, drive along at speed, firing indiscriminately at anyone.
Watched the Kipp bloke on TV this morning, apparently Muslims are intent on taking over the world, out breeding us at an alarming rate. People like him need their own little country tucked way out of the way of real life, somewhere like Antarctica should suit him just fine.

Well we’ll go with 1.1 and specify Bill is a soppy date. Now we’ll get a meaning for a date.

Sod in London at least, had no nastiness behind it. In fact I’d like a few  quid for every time my Mum told my Dad in laughter that he was a silly old sod….

Not sure how “Sod off” fits in to any of those meanings, reckon they are mostly a load of old cobblers.

Strangely enough I never heard my dad swear tho’ my mum swore like a trooper !

‘Sod it’ is a great phrase as it’s not really swearing but it’s gets the message across.

What about sod you, sod him, sod everything, sod off, sod it, sod em all, sod all to do with you, sods law, sods of turf, sods of grass, sod the weather, sod the government. Awful lot of sods if you ask me.

Be interesting to see how the Kipp vote holds up in the GE, what about the Trump factor?, Tories in for a landslide, or maybe not. I notice old le pen said attacks like the incident in Paris would not have happened if she had been president, absolutely no idea how she would have achieved that one, but with her old chap being ex French foreign legion, you wouldn’t think she would have such an inbred dislike of foreigners.

She probably thought ‘oh sod it, put it in the manifesto and see what happens.’

Term of affection in Whitehaven, Pete, in the context Sid used it, so I am not offended, sure he is not gay either :-)

Didn’t think you would be offended Bill, I’m always interested in words, must be my journalist bit coming out !
