Wondered if anyone has seen this, if it’s not a scam is it cheating the language barrier or is it a helpful thing for those trying to learn?

I think it is a game changer in many respects. But when it comes to group discussions, how would that work? Also, given that you carry 2 earpieces around with you, how many folk wouldn’t like to shove something in their ear which has perhaps minutes or seconds earlier been in someone elses ear?
I must admit though, the language schools won’t be fond of it I would suspect.
Do I wish I had it when learning my second language? Hmmm, guess not, seeing as then, there wouldn’t have been as much encouragement to do so.
When it comes to third or fourth languages…… a whole new ball game there.

Good grief it’s the Babelfish from the Hitchhiker’s Guide!

Let’s hope the translation software is better than Google’s one. ;-)

DNA  was way ahead of his time, the Ipad when you think about it is just like the Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy :good:   a wholly remarkable book  :good:   where you tap in a few codes and information is displayed :good:

Helps one to be understood, but it doesn’t help you learn the language.
