We were in St Aignan last night…decided to have a walk…the heavens decided to open…mr marmite went to get an umbrella from the car…he didn’t come back…he got lost.
I waited…looked for cover…after 10 mins wait ..I headed back to the hotel…drenched…worse..my white jumper was dripping in red from my new red pashmina…
not the best birthday I,ve had.
today the sun shone all day.
Sorry Marmite, missed the post (not La Poste – your post!) That sounds like a story that you couldn’t make up! If you saw it in a movie you’d think it was far fetched, you’ll look back on it and laugh later – not funny on the day though but certainly a birthday to remember! Belated happy one but not like that one!
The weather is still dark ,damp and dreary but this must be one of the most serene Autumns that I have seen since living in France . There is no wind and the frost has dissapeared again , so the leaves are staying on the trees longer and falling in clouds of gold and brown. The woods are beautiful with the paths covered in a layer of leaves and mushrooms still coming up everywhere. Good to live on the French countryside.
