Any snow forecast for you there Anne?

    31st January 2019 at 9:25 am #453141

Last night in Northumberland  was minus 12 in places, the coldest night so far  it’s still only minus 6 at 8.24am today ! ❄️❄️❄️

No snow Pumpkin but thick fog. -5.7 again overnight and still -3.3 now. Impressively low for an urban area. Ray  likes your barograph Babeth, they were used a lot in the Power Stations.

Snow for us for a few hours Bv. All gone now. For folk out in Brittany with friends or family in the UK and who watch UK TV, don’t worry the weather reports are only on all day because it is bad in the SE ie London!

Hope not commandomum! The bloke has been long dead, goalkeeper Peter Springett. He played for Sheffield Wednesday when I supported them.

Well the conservatory is nearly finished. One of the chaps brings his school girl daughter (mid teenager) at the weekends with him to strip the protective plastic off the various PVC bits etc. She is busy cleaning the windows at the moment. Just gone sub zero!

    2nd February 2019 at 7:24 pm #454106

Breezy, cold and sunny most of the day with the shock of a short, sharp, heavy downpour of hailstones in between!

    2nd February 2019 at 9:47 pm #454220

Talking about snow, this is different from a snow man :

    3rd February 2019 at 4:18 pm #454407

7 centigrade all day here in Selby. Ray and Aiden have been doing some concreting. Ray having a soak in the bath prior to going for a medicinal pint of real ale. Early start  tomorrow, car off to Goole for a service. Wish I could get Ray fettled once a year.

As we say in French : “Les jours se suivent mais ne se ressemblent pas”.

Miserable and damp today, glad we’ve been for a walk yesterday.

    10th February 2019 at 3:40 pm #456011

It’s been raining a bit those last few days !

    10th February 2019 at 4:32 pm #456017

Oh Barbeth is that glorious Mimosa tree in your garden?   This was my mother’s favourite tree, I always bought her some when it was in flower .

    10th February 2019 at 4:56 pm #456027

No BV, I would love one, but they have a lot of roots, so we can’t take any risk because of the sceptic tank. But they is plenty of them around. Some of them are big trees ! The Camelias are flowering too. This is a good sign : spring is on his way :rose:

    10th February 2019 at 5:36 pm #456033

It’s always uplifting this time of the year to see things starting to come back to life again, we’ve got some miniature daffs nearly out and there’s lots of snowdrops around this year. :good:
