Very low barometer this am 11.14 am.

Ours reads very low at 980 hpa – checked with Ventusky – -correct!
Similar to a previous low pressure record at Cap de la Hague 980.1 on 5th May 1984 but not as low another low reading on 16 October 1987 Ushant 948 hPa

Red day tomorrow!that figure!
I just checked Ventusky and saw something reminiscent of a scene out of that film ‘The Day After Tomorrow’
3 tightly packed Low pressure areas at 6 pm tonight.
Each with hpa’s of around the 970 mark!
As a sweet bonus though, Orange sent a van down to repair our line barely 15 mins ago. Now very fast and reliable.
Hope nothing gets blown over tonight…very strong winds here…
Might that mean that the constant warnings of snow over the last weeks, that have never materialized, may actually now do so? Or just more of the wet stuff

There was a report of falling snow lying in Finisterre yesterday.
Still just high, buffeting winds & rain was all we got here in East Sussex, I doubt very much we will get any flakes of snow here.
Grey & calm this morning, thank goodness, those winds do so much damage!
Bright blue sky and sunshine in 22 but a heavy frost!
What started as a grey day yesterday turned into a beautiful, warm & sunny day, but a very chilly breeze in the shade. A typical spring day.
Same further north,and a pleasant start to the day today not like the thunder,rain lightning and hail of Good Friday it really was biblical
