    Another fabulous photograph Babeth.

    Where did you take it?

It was in a wetland, no far from home, few days ago. I think they will spend the winter here.

Wow Fruitcake, a Bittern, one of my favourite pics of the year, where did you take it?

    Morning Bonjour

I took it by the marina in Mexico (actually, perhaps it’s not allowed in the competition as it was there?   )

it is a great shot. One to be proud of but maybe not a Bittern as we know them?

In the interests of fairness and impartiality I have decided to withdraw my entries from the competition.

The reason is that, the judges are from the wood firm Boistec whom I know and with whom I do business.

In fact I have some of their kindling and netted logs for sale at the moment.

I would feel very guilty were I to win a prize.

    Good luck to you all.

I wasn’t sure what species it was Bonjour but searching on the internet it looks similar, though smaller, to an Indian heron?

The United in France 2023 Photography competition sponsored by Boistec is now over.

The entries were judged by Tina of Boistec who is not a member of United in France, she was given a completely free hand as to which entries she chose as winners other than only being able to have one prize per person in accordance with the rules.

We were really pleased with the quality of the entries and thank you all for taking part.

The winners will be announced and contacted by Personal message to arrange delivery of their prize.
