Many of you are not going to like this:-
“This year’s Tory conference is all about the next big coronation. The leadership hopefuls are all out in force trying to charm the grassroots, despite the mood being a little flatter than previous years as the race continues to drag on. An Ipsos poll that just dropped isn’t going to boost morale amongst the camps, as it shows Nigel Farage is more popular than any of the candidates. The real leader of the Opposition…
According to the poll, Reform’s Nigel is leading the pack as 24% of Britons think he would be a good Prime Minister, leaving the likes of Cleverly on 15%, Tugendhat with a measly 12%, Badenoch on 11%, and Jenrick scraping by at a dull 11%. This comes as Farage has been taking potshots at Kemi and Jenrick over their previous soft-touch approach to immigration, and Tory contenders continue to fight against each other to prove themselves. A few more weeks of this to come…
I don’t care what the tories are doing, as far as I am concerned they still have 130 too many MP’s and I still curse them every day. Judas starmer has to go, along with any labour MP who supports him. Farage as far as I can see is the only hope for any change in the downward spiral of British politics. The system has to change before this culture of vile self interested corrupt politicians can be removed and replaced with people who actually put their country before their own greedy aspirations.

Reform isn’t just about Nigel Farage, there are two other, quieter, less flamboyant Reform MP’s who stand out as being sane, sensible and capable – Richard Tice and Rupert Lowe.
It’s worth mentioning that Rupert Lowe is donating his MP’s salary, about £5k per month, to a different charity each month in his constituency, he’s a successful businessman and can obviously afford it.

Farage is not ideal but he does have leadership qualities, something that is sadly lacking in any of the other parties. Reform offer an alternative, that is all I am saying, something that the other parties very clearly don’t. labour and the tories come from the same obnoxious mould of greedy self obsessed people who will take everything they can get their filthy hands on till they get thrown out of government leaving someone else to clean up their mess. lib dems will just float around changing their policies to align with which ever party offers them a chance of holding some power. As for blaming farage for brexshit, yes he wanted it but no more than the imbecile, may, sunak, gove, truss and a host of others in both parties who lied and deceived the people not forgetting cameron, the fool who enabled the whole disaster to take place.

“I will never forgive Farage for Brexit”
You seem to be forgetting that there was a referendum on the subject………..
Did you vote fitter?
i didn’t …I was disenfranchised…having paid and worked a life time in the Uk….and so were many who live in Europe.
now we have our vote back….lets have another referendum..this time based on truths.
Farage is a self serving ,lying idiot…I will never vote for him in any shape or form.
I didn’t vote for Boris …for the same reasons.

So thank you Nigel….and you still trust him?
not me…he will never represent me or the Uk that I love.
reality is…Tom Tugendhat is the only honorable man standing…which is why he doesn’t stand a chance.

5th October 2024 at 8:25 am #603914As ever in the world of politics, it’s a case of trying to figure out who is the least worst from the pool of dross.

So many seem to think that Nigel Farage is the good alternative…a man who lied to everyone…and continues with the same tune..
the tune many want to hear…stop immigration…the hard truth being that Brexit…his idea ..has made it worse.11 000 since the election have arrived on small boats …now with no fear of Rwanda….not the best idea but at least a deterrent.
Now ..they know that the left wingers welcome them with open wallets.
Please don’t be misled by Nigel again.without a strong opposition there will be a decade of Starmer giving away the assets of the Uk …he’s already started….and open door policies…just like Blair…who started the rot.
5th October 2024 at 10:50 am #603922From my recollection, it was Maggie Thatcher who started the rot when she removed all currency restrictions allowing her rich mates to stash there assets abroad in tax havens. Blair just completed the job.
