Its not what the people wanted, its what they were forced to vote for by the cretin Corbyn! it would be a different outcome now that Starmer is in charge.

    • The writing as they say was on the wall for all to see, except for Corbyn and his suporters.

No one was ” forced to vote” , that is a very simple and easy explanation for the success of Boris and co. Jeremy Corbyn was demonised by the tory election campagne . The electorate was fooled into voting for the tories by a very clever and nasty campaign on social media . It is very short sighted to blame one man for the loss of all those Labour seats in the North of England ,if he was so bad , then why did he not loose his seat ? I am not a Corbyn or Boris ” fan” , but I am against the indoctrination via facebook etc of the masses. :-) It is so easy to manipulate all those voters that live for their phones.

Spot on Deboer, this has been shown to be the work of Facebook , Twitter and in fact, all of the Social media, Backed by the Billionaire press barons and then there was Cummings putting on total lies (especially about Corbyn) and most of this got exaggerated in the final hours of  both the Brexit referendum and the last election.

I agree.  It was the tactic general smear campaign against Labour using that perennial “antisemitic” wild card that so many love to drag up.   Millions still think everyone should love the Jews and support a witch hunt for anyone who doesn’t.  This was a powerful ploy to discredit Labour but I think the clincher was that Corbyn (as sensible as I believe he is) has just lost his mojo and appeared to be an ineffectual candidate.

You still haven’t explained why they are ‘nasty thieving commies’ fitter. Preferably with some facts and examples to back up – a) why they are nasty, b) why and what they are thieving and c) why they are ‘commies’. I await your reply.

Corbyn is a communist. McDonnel is a communist – he promoted violence in furtherance of his agenda ( it’s on video on you tube) (Nasty?) he wanted to steal people’s houses (thieving?) Why are they commies? good question, when you find out can you let us all know! :yahoo:

What a weak reply but not surprising…

Replying here to Roger Wood and Danny Lopez.

You both seem obsessed with the theory that it was a right-wing media putsch that delivered an 80 seat majority to the Conservatives.

But the Guardian makes no mention of  the right wing media in this expose of why Labour lost.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/13/five-reasons-why-labour-lost-the-election

And again there is no mention of right wing media in their appraisal of why the Conservatives won.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/13/five-reasons-the-tories-won-the-election

Surely you are not going to accuse the Guardian of being  right wing?

Your polical nous is well out of date. Corbyn a communist, you are scraping the barrel, that’s the talk that was being bandied about on Facebook, don’t forget, traiter, IRA sympathiser, or rather member of the IRA. Pathetric but it got people to even believe it, there’s even a good example on this thread.
McDonnell has never been a Communist, Socialist, yes, sad if you don’t even know the difference but who can blame you, even the Torygraph, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Sun and others have no idea and for the sake of the their right wing supporters, call them Commies..So sad but there you go…

Try this one Fitter, lots more where that one come from off the internet and easily found. Personally I have found hundreds that show that Social media was the main decider in what people read. The young and many other age groups no longer buy newspapers, paper sales have dropped off a lot since the mobile phone came in to operation and it is where many people get their views from. Facebook and Twitter are where it’s at now, Fitter, whether or not you like it or not but one thing for sure, it got you Brexit and a huge majority for Johnson and lie and after lie, with many fake news and photos were their forte

It is widely touted that this Tracy Ullman video contributed to a large extent to Corbyn and hence labour. losing the last election.

I’ve heard some stupid things in my life but that takes the biscuit. Try and accept that Social media dictate matters, not some second rate comedy. It is that widely touted !! Haha I doubt many even watched this, which is actually a p*** take about the strength of social media, where fake is the new fact to some. I guess that went straight over your head.

And lots more if you care to look and all found on the Internet by way of google etc

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jun/29/how-brexit-party-won-euro-elections-on-social-media

And the same thing for the last election

You seem to have dodged this Guardian report, wonder why? You really appear to have no idea about the massive strength of social media, papers no longer hold the influence on who to vote for, it is the likes of Facebook Twitter and co and if you don’t believe that you are stuck very much in the dark ages. People don’t buy papers like they used to, the younger generation get all their info through Facebook etc,

I just don’t know why people are getting so upset, I don’t care a stuff who is a communist, who is a liberal or a conservative, they are all weasels every one of them, they don’t enter politics to look after you or me, they enter politics to feather their own nest, most politicians when they leave politics whether by losing their seat or moving on to a higher paid job, end up being a millionaire with an eyewatering pension fund, weasel number 1 must be tony blair, it was only a few years ago he couldn’t pay his mortgage, but now in a very short space of time, he is a multi-millionaire with property in London/Bristol and several other properties around the world, all politicians the world over are liars & cheats, if you believe just one word a politician tells you, then you are a fool.
