    This is a question that we have all asked, “Are we alone in this universe?”. Well despite our ever-increasing technology and knowledge we do not have a definitive answer to that question.

    It is hard to believe that we are the only, so called, intelligent life out in the universe. :scratch: :unsure:

    UFO Conference – Mexican UFO Fleets Jaime Maussan – Superb Footage
    This may help answer this very expansive question B-)

    A very interesting film, I’ve always thought it odd that thousands of years ago they had the brains to build the pyramids, have underground heating, the hyraglivics (sorry if spelling wrong) I find it fasinating . I remember years and years ago, there was something very odd that happened in some woods outside an American airforce station. It was all covered up and suppressed then I think a lot is, not just this subject, we are only told on a need to know basis. :yes:

    Ancient civilisations……….hmmmm.
    Have a look here.

    That looks interesting @Shapeshifter! Will have a watch of that, thanks. :good:

    Intriguing stuff, when you consider the billions of stars and planets out there it’s a nonsense to claim that our planetary conditions have only occured once. :wacko:

    3rd May 2016 at 9:58 am #11559

    @breadhead , Totally! :good:
    There have been many sightings the world over, even videos recorded in infra red which show objects unseen by the naked eye. :yes:
    And it can’t all just be the army playing with their expensive toys, . :wacko:

    No cool its usually Cadillac Hubcap’s, but anyway if earth was seeded from space its only logical that life must exist out there somewhere, whether it’s in a human type form or even intelligent we have no idea. All I know is that you are looking at traveling at the speed of light for a very very long while before you reach any planet that could sustain life, same for any aliens who wished to visit us, but the thing I find most worrying is humans go out on voyages of discovery, not to see what life is like over the hill, but to see what there is to either steal, exploit, conquer or enslave, what about aliens, they may have the same ideas as us.

    @Bo, they may well indeed.
    But I find that unlikely, as they would have done something by now with their far superior technology.
    Or maybe they just don’t want to get involved until human kind is ‘Ready’ :unsure:

    3rd May 2016 at 1:59 pm #11609

    Or cool maybe they don’t have the technology to travel faster than the speed of light, or they have seen how well we all get on with each other and have decided to steer well clear.

    Or they probably don’t fancy Obama’s New World Order. B-)

    3rd May 2016 at 7:05 pm #11720

    @Shapeshifter, I don’t think anybody want’s that!!
    But wasn’t it Bush Snr. who first coined the phrase to the mass media?
    Probably not far off 2 decades ago… (Already!)
    They’re ‘Working hard’ to ‘give it a good chance ‘ this NWO.

    What if bush and an a few others are actually shapeshifting aliens, how would we actually ever find out, what if there are indeed aliens amongst us, nurturing the human race, people like Galileo, D’vinci, Newton, Einstein and a few others who’s discoveries or inventions have given us a little nudge. I once read a book by a French author, where the earth had been set up as some form of experiment by an alien race, sort of like the ants nest in the natural history museum.

    @Bodiddly, Erich von Däniken & Zecharia Sitchin talked about many interesting things with regard to the earth and animal-kind being ‘Experimental’. :yes:
    Interesting indeed… Are they right?
    What if it is?
    What if they are already here?
    Are ‘they’ bad or good?
    & being as ‘they’ run countries and are so powerful, should we be worried at all? :scratch: :wacko:
    Lots and lots of ancient buildings & monuments around the globe which remain unexplained to this day.
    Fascinating to see them and their respective locations :heart:

    Yes I read Danikens book, read lord of the rings at the same time, both seemed very similar to me. I know because we don’t really consider ourselves an animal, we tend to look for something else to explain us, but it is completely feasible that we evolved, its also quite feasible that archeologists get a lot of their dates wrong, especially with regard to stone structures, they have a tendency to slot things into where they think they should fit. Maybe one day someone will invent time travel and pop back and sort out fact from fiction, but that’s another enigma, do we exist in the now or are we already living in the past?, have we already got time travellers living amongst us?.

    Considering the size of the universe, the possibility of parallel universes and multiple universes it’s inevitable. There’s even signs of life in our own solar system. Scientists are now saying that life is an inevitable rearranging of atoms over time. I don’t think we need to have been kick-started by visiting aliens as suggested by Von Daniken. A bit arrogant to think that we humans are somehow so marvellous we couldn’t have got here by normal evolutionary processes. We are just clever ( relatively speaking) apes. We think we’re only clever cos our measure of cleverness has been thought up by our standards of cleverness but that’s another story. I also thought Von Daniken’s theories had been de-bunked…. :scratch:

    4th May 2016 at 10:00 am #11852

    His books go back decades. I read most of them and although a few of his theories take a bit of “believing” I don’t think any significant amount of his evidence has been explained properly by any hard core scientists or archaeologists.

    The problem with people like Daniken is they don’t actually come up with any proof, its all theory, everything can usually be explained. I’m of the opinion that humans were further advanced earlier than we give them credit for, and also the population was a lot higher than we think it was.

    Statistics alone says that we are not alone in this universe.

    There are over 100,000,000,000 stars in our galaxy. There are thought to be over 100 million planets in our galaxy that could host complex life.

    So, with an estimated 500,000,000,000 galaxies the number of possibilities is massive.

    The chance of us visiting or being visited though is pretty remote.

    Astronomers say that there may be a planet capable of supporting life only 12 light years away. Relativity theory comes into play here – So, even if we could travel at .99999 of the speed of light during the 24 year round trip for the astronauts, the earth would have aged by an astonishing 11,232 years!

    Mind boggling!
