Just seen this and such a shock. Our sincere condolences to Stinky’s wife and family
We so enjoyed his posts about the exploits of Vega and the visits of Natalie. My husband even enjoyed that photograph of the knee as it brought back memories of some 50 years ago. He seemed such a lovely, genuine, kind man
14th November 2023 at 2:09 pm #593247Deepest sympathy & Love to Helen & family. Stinky will be greatly missed, although not personally known to us, husband & I enjoyed reading his posts, wit & humour. Rest in Peace.

Me neither Marmite ☹️ I keep thinking about it.
Helen said The Voice is a strong lady, but if we are all shocked then it is ten times worse for his family.
I am so pleased he was recovered enough from his hip op to go & spend some time with The Voice and his family recently.
As we are constantly saying – live for today.
Stinky touched so many lives, Jerome and Natalie among them and even those of complete strangers who just happened upon him and felt drawn by the aura that seemed to surround him.
He will be very much missed.

I echo all of what you are saying.
Particularly what @Fruitcake and Marmite said about how Helen, The Voice and his family must feeling and how Stinky has been on my mind constantly.

23rd November 2023 at 10:30 am #593438Dear Helen
Please forgive me for reaching out to you in open forum.
Stinky was an absolute legend and mainstay of our Forum. Everyone loved him and loved his words.
We are in the process of launching a small range of merchandise to help support our site and we would be most grateful if you could allow us to use some of Stinky’s words and images that he has posted.
We will be sure to attribute anything we do use to Stinky.
I wish you well and remind you that we are all here for any advice support or help that you may need.
I often think of Stinky, I loved his writings, his stories of his childhood days in his blue wellies, of Natalie, Jerome and the horses, they were all so wonderfully written, so descriptive that scenes could be lived with him. I have shed tears at times they were so real.
I really miss him, his wit and his stories.
I am sure that Helen, the family and The Voice will have many wonderful memories to share and relive. My very best wishes to them I hope they are aware of the impact he made here

Although he did not know it, Stinky was a great man.
For someone most of us never had the pleasure to meet, to have affected so many of us in the same way is remarkable.
Stinky is a true legend now.
So loved, so missed.
