Since we moved over to fibre and VOIP phone system we are having between 8 -12 cold calls a day. Every number is different so you cant block it. We are signed up to “Blocktel” but it is useless. Oranges advice is to answer every call which we dont. They want 5 euros a month for SPAM blocking but I have not heard anything good about this.
I haven’t got fibre but I get constant unwanted calls. Pick up the phone and say nothing. iI it is a robocall it will go dead. If you don’t recognise the number, don’t answer it. On a mobile if you go into settings you can block any call that is not in your contacts list. hope this helps. When I was in the UK I used to give them a round of f**** when I got a call at meal times but unfortunately my French is not good enough to to that here.
7th October 2023 at 7:58 am #592174We bought a call blocker from Amazon last year and it has been an absolute godsend. We now have 48 blocked calls and area codes. Brilliant gadget!
8th October 2023 at 7:57 am #592204Sometimes, but if like me you happen to be sitting at your desktop when a call comes in and you don’t recognise it, you just press the “block now” button on the callblocker. You can block area codes like 0377 which is obviously a call centre, (which we seem to be getting a lot of) and the phone doesn’t ring. The call has been blocked by yourself. We have a V5000 and it’s absolutely brilliant.

13th October 2023 at 8:16 am #592344I only ever use my mobile now, if a call comes in that is not on my contact list, I just ignore it. If it’s urgent or important, the caller will leave a voice mail.
I have just bought a new landline phone. It is a Panasonic KX-TGH720 made for the German market and is sold on Amazon fr. It has a built in call blocker so you can reject a call, block a call or both. You can also set it to intercept all calls not in your contact list asking the caller to press a code number of your choice, to get connected. This stops auto diallers which cannot do this. It does come with a German phone plug but normally you can use your lead from your existing phone as the connection to the base unit is the same. The phone has a built in messaging system, you have to re record messages because the default ones are in German. It costs around 55€ It has certainly reduced my unwanted calls
if you have an iphone, from settings you can set it not to ring if a caller is not in your contacts list. You can then view these calls and delete or reply as you wish. presumably you can do similar on other makes of phone too.
We bought a “CPR” call blocker from AMAZON which is pre programmed with scam numbers but they are British numbers. We have blocked over 80 numbers so far but they keep changing their numbers. One set of numbers always starts “0377” Checks online reaveal this is always sales calls. From the “CONNEXION” this shows the list of prefix numbers to block.
Commercial sales and marketing calls must now begin with one of the following numbers:
0162 or 0163
0270 or 0271
0377 or 0378
0424 or 0425
0568 or 0569
0948 or 0949
Commercial callers, sales reps, and telemarketing callers are not allowed to use any numbers that do not start with one of these four-digit combinations. We have entered these prefix numbers into our call blocker and it has stopped them all, however they are now targetting mobiles!!
