Why is it when one thing goes wrong.  .everything goes wrong.

half the house no electricity…no matter what we did ..it jumped…it’s the old half of the house.

our neighbour recommended a local electrician…he came very quickly..fortunately he knew the house…in no time  he identified the problem…the poo pump…

we decided to empty the fosse septic…to make it easier…and nicer!

    farmer arrived…job done…

    new pump coming…

our central heating also misbehaving!…the underfloor bit in the newer part of the house….has gone cool!

    found a chauffagiste…who came today..apparently the system is electronic…needs a spécialiste in electronics..found one…he’s coming Friday….one thing after another.

spoke to my sister…she’s just had a new poo pump…plus she has a leak in her shower…plumber coming

it proves …it’s not just me!although I was beginning to think it was.

At least the car passed its control tecnique…with flying colors …except whilst it was being done Mr M hit Lidl…big bag of shopping…which he left in the office of the garage…I had to drive over and recuperate it.

ill be glad when this week is over.

A true account of normal life of us all I think.

Soon Marmite you will get a period of everything going right.

Now that will be worth writing about…..

Oh Marmite I can feel your frustration, I think we all get times in our lives when we say “What next?!”  A dear friend of mine uses the expression “Bring it on!” hopefully your spell of ‘what next?’ or ‘bring it on’ will soon end. :rose:

Could it be that when everything is going right we take no notice? When things go wrong (nearly always in threes) it seems the world is against us. I think what you describe MM is what most of us experience from time to time, life will soon return to normal. Some decent weather helps too, but that maybe asking too much

The sun is shining this morning….thats a good sign…grumbling about things going wrong does help!

Also people pointing out that these mini trials affect us all….is it someone else’s turn now?

    27th March 2024 at 9:16 am #597801

I don’t think it’s only grumbling that helps Marmite, just sharing it helps too.

Pointing out that these trials affect us all is just a way of saying you’re not alone I think, although when it’s you going through these things it doesn’t necessarily make you feel any better I know.

Don’t think it is legal for a farmer to empty a fosse anymore. Has to be an authorised company who will give you a certificate of disposal. Costs about 240 euros.

I’m not asking ….just happy it happened…sent by the mayor.

As he’s a gendarme….im assuming he knows better than me.

Didn’t think the farmer could empty a fosse septic.

You may be right…we asked the mayor last year when we had a problem…he’s a gendarme…

Am I going to argue with him when he is helping me?

    no!

I learned early on in our life in France that rural communities make their own laws most if the time B-)

The French have a very healthy attitude to the law. They only apply it if it suits them.
