We have had 2 dogs from Pontivy SPA over the last 11 years. We were looking for another after our last dog passed away last December. We a dog that was interesting on their website and phoned to enquire. When we arrived to view today, we met met with a torrent of abuse from a man who we believe is a manager. He said he will not allow any Anglaise to adopt and called us unmentionables!
Goodbye he said.
Things have changed there, be carefull!
20th April 2023 at 6:18 pm #586506Unbelievable, this man shouldn’t be there.
I would contact the head office to tell them what has happened :
Société Protectrice des Animaux
39, boulevard Berthier
75847 PARIS Cedex 17Tél : 01 43 80 40 66
Fax : 01 49 80 99 23
Email : [email protected]The trouble is they are overbooked so maby difficult to contact but I would give it a try, maybe not the first time this man act badly. This is not in the animal interest, and this is racism !
We’ve adopted with Redon SPA, and they never ever made any comment about my husband nationality, the important thing is to give an animal a good home.

10th May 2023 at 11:02 pm #587411She is a concentrate of happiness. I don’t regret one second of taking her. She celebrates me when I come home, which is quite rewarding. I think she’s now 100% confident in us. She’s even groaning, with her little voice, when somebody she doesn’t know get directly in the house, but thankfully she doesn’t try to bite ! She loves her cuddle too and sit down for us to put her harness on easily. We do love her
