17th February 2019 at 12:08 pm #457676Thank you for the link Babeth – I have checked it out and it will be a great help. I use Picasa and usually go back to that and re-send back to my file re-sized – but such a pain going back and forth. Unfortunately, I had prepared this message uploaded some pics and then realised that the internet had dropped – lost everything!
Your pond/window pic is very interesting BartyB – love those ‘figure ‘m out’ photos – very clever. What camera do you use? The reptile/bottle has great clarity.
Here is one of my favourites – taken on the beach one sunset last summer Les Grèves d’en Bas, four minutes from our house.

Gotta have the camera at hand for those kind of pics Fruitcake – love the one of the pigeon having a bath – squeezing himself into the birdbath LOL

Every night – different and amazing…….

Thanks, Pumpkin. I went to Tucson, in the early 90s and we stayed on a ranch for a few weeks. On one of the first evenings, my Mum and I were driving into Tucson for dinner and as we drove off the ranch the sun was setting and the whole sky was the deepest red that I had ever seen. Darn it! Hadn’t got my camera with me! I never saw such a sunset for the rest of our stay. That sight stayed with me forever. I went back to the USA every year but never to Arizona until a couple of years back, Robert and I were there and stayed in a Spanish style hacienda for a few weeks in the desert – every night we went up on the roof terrace, with our wine and whatsits, camera in hand and the sunsets were just as you see them – unbelievable and lasted maybe up to 15 minutes from before the sunset until the last glow disappeared. Unlike so many other sunsets that are beautiful for the two minutes while the sun is disappearing beyond the horizon. Nothing like the desert at night – the soft nickering sounds from nearby horses, coyotes barking and the crickets clicking. Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
This year I bought a Countryfile Calender but judging by these pics, perhaps Wizzard should bring out a UIB Calender featuring some of these contributions, maybe a few important numbers such as le Pompier and even a few adverts from the business directory etc.
I would buy one to help fund the site.
Keep this post going!
