Photo resizing program recommendations please

Bonjour mes amis ( Hello my friends ),
I would like to be able to share some piccies with you from time to time and am being told by the forum set up that the size limit per picture is 200mo. Most of my piccies are around the 250 to 270 mo mark which means that I shall have to download an app for resizing them.
Could you please recommend any free software or apps that you use for this purpose?
I have got so used to using the imgb software they use on the forums that I visit more often and I have forgotten what program I used to use on my old computer !!

On my phone I use an app called ” photo and picture resizer”. It’s free and simple to use. I can’t compare it with any others because it’s the only one I’ve used, but it does the job.
This is the site that Tom recommended in order to post images.
Here is how.Go to: http://postimage.org/
Upload your image
Copy the “Direct Link” URL
Click “img” from the tool bar above
Paste your copied URL in the box provided
If you are using a Windows pc, the the free program irfanview works well
I find if I open and save the files they will reduce in size, plus it has lots of other options that help reduce the size
