Outlook not sending emails!

Hi, my outlook emails won’t send even though they’re showing as sent, I’m having no problem with incoming emails.
Has anyone got any idea what the problem might be please? I’d be most grateful for any help.
Mine was odd last week…very slow to send…
Hi Marmite, thanks for the reply, yes it can be slow, but this seems to be different, it won’t send mail at all, I’ve been trying all day.
Are you sending a test email to yourself, but in another different email account?
In which case, check your Spam folder also.
My Outlook has just sent a test email to myself, which went into the spam folder.

Hi Jim, no I didn’t try that, but last night it appeared to right itself, god knows what was wrong with it. The strange thing was the emails weren’t stuck in my outbox, they were showing as sent. Not all the messages got through to my friend’s inbox, may be as Roz has pointed out it was a virus of sorts!!!
