    Admin Paul:
“Is it my imagination or are the sizes of things like sweets/chocolates getting smaller? Plus, silly things like pizza toppings in a restaurant seem to be getting smaller and not so many? Is it me or is it another symptom of shortages?”

    Nope.  Just old fashioned greed.

Smaller portions or higher prices?the choice is in the hands of the restaurant.

They too are affected by the prices that we are all complaining about.

The customer has the  choice to stay away…

‘Cut your coat according to your cloth’ is an old but true mantra & one that we all have to live by in any given situation I guess.

The shops round here all have it on the shelves again, maybe best to have a little extra in stock though.

Oil on shelves…but not a pot of mustard to be seen.

    strange…

Plenty on the shelves at Carrefour Guingamp yesterday…………………at a price.  Apart from fresh veg & fruit we always keep a couple of months stock of most things and two freezers with long term stuff.  I like a buffer just in case the pensions are stopped for some technical reason.  Others have savings to call on.  We don’t have that luxury.  B-)

I have 4 pots of English mustard lurking in the cupboard….

I have a horrible feeling the food and product shortages are going to get a whole lot worse as the war drags on in Ukraine, seems to me Russia is now weaponising grain exports from Ukraine by blockading ports. I don’t think the prospects of people in developing nations going hungry will trouble Putin.

It’s all part of the giant plot…déstabilise the west…create dissent in the countries…blame the governments …create revolution.

    hope I’m imagining it…
