In the UK today there are families struggling to put food on the table There are nurses using food banks because they cannot afford the cost of living on their pay There are people working two or three jobs in the “gig economy” to pay their rent At this moment there are pensioners having to decide whether they can afford to eat or put the heating on And what are the British media obsessed with? Two rich privileged brats whining about how hard their life is appearing on TV to complain about their lack of privacy and at the same time slagging off another lot of rich privileged people because they have fallen out EastEnders style
You could not make it up…
What worries me is that I feel any voices against are being silenced…speak against Meghan and you are labeled racist…
how about common sense…?
The two of them are the first to accuse…don’t like me ..you’re racist…
Actually I don’t like the way you behave,..your holier than thou…don’t do as I do…do as I say.
privacy is easy…you had total privacy in Windsor..
.Wimbledon …you don’t go to Wimbledon for privacy…clearing all the seats around you..stopping mr public taking any photos …
As for private jets?…his answer ..I have to protect my family!…we all have families…
Piers Morgan has a right to speak…at least we can reply…unlike MM…who simply broadcasts via Oprah…no reply asked for.

….. turn out coffee coloured people by the score.Well I am white and spouse is brown. We have turned out one Gold Roast and one Cappucino, of which I am inordinately proud. Gold Roast has given us one similar granddaughter and (we have not yet seen him as he is in Majorca) a 9 month old Cappuccino grandson. We think and debate as a family about will he won`t he go darker, I hope so.
Number 1 son, Gold Roast could be from any country between Spain and India, a great advantage in his job as an ethnologist. He goes deep-colour in the sun. Number 2 son, Cappucino looks sexy Italian or possibly Greek, his deep dark brown eyes allow him to be forgiven many sins.
In the summer they all darken whereas myself and 2 other grand daughters, are all more Anglo Saxon type colour go pink, red and embarrassed.
I think it would be normal/healthy in a mixed heritage family to think about/ discuss the place on the spectrum of new borns.
The 1960s UK was deeply racist but the outlook was optimistic and brotherhood of man. (Queen has helped this a lot, hats off). These days it is much less racist but brotherhood and optimism have lost out to nihilism and self serving, which is a great shame for Archie and my new grandson.

Of course Piers Morgan has a right to speak but should he use the massive platform he has been given by ITV to endlessly slag off someone seemingly for personal reasons as she blanked him once? I personally think his constant ranting about Meghan and Harry are more like the actions of a stalker. Perhaps he has mental health issues too?
As for right to reply, he got that alright but then stormed off in a huff. Some people love to dish it out but they can’t take it back...Meghan and Harry did just that …and worse..appearing on Oprah’s …no question of being corrected…just pre agreed questions…
no one to argue with them ….the royal family and the rest of the UK just had to listen and be accused…insinuating racism.
They have the perfect opportunity to live a quiet peaceful life….behind their closed doors..they have chosen to publicize themselves.

Way to go!

You could look at it like that or maybe it was their right to reply about all the shite that has been published/said about them.
It was a one sided attack…knowing that the queen would not defend herself.
Putting forward life as they see it.
People are dying around us..I have a friend who attempted to commit suicide last week..for me Meghan and Harry are insignificant.
I,ll concentrate on those who are really struggling.
10th March 2021 at 7:13 pm #546296One thing that should be kept in mind when judging her is that she is, or was, an actress. Definitely B class but an actress none the less.
Am I the only one who was surprised when the racist card was reeled out, I was waiting for it. Someone, somewhere within the privillaged household supposedly said something that could be taken as a racist comment
Names, times, location? ……………………………………………………..Oh just a scripted remark dropped in to stir the crap then…. surprise , surprise. There is an old saying,…If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. You know….the place where the servants prepare your meals. Perhaps you could enjoy something prepared to compliment the huge chips on your shoulders.
Pathetic!
REALLY annoys me when the racist card is played. Racism is never acceptable but neither is implying it exists when it doesn’t. I didn’t see the interview as I really have no interest in this couple who want to live ‘authentically’ …..in their £11 million home!
Anonymous11th March 2021 at 8:18 am #546351I really liked Trisha Godard’s comment,
“I’m sorry Piers, you don’t get to call out what is and isn’t racism against black people,” Trisha Goddard told him on Monday’s programme. “I’ll leave you to call out all the other stuff you want, but leave the racism stuff to us, eh?”
I suspect that the average white person wouldn’t recognise the persistent micro-aggressive racist incidents that BAME people have to endure.
There is racism all around us in some form or another if you are sensitive to it or want to call it out. People these days are oversensitive. I am sure most of us have come up against appauling customer service that exists sometimes. It is usually down to poor staff training but also it can also be anti-English. Maybe the person has had a bad experience with the English customer who thinks the answer to not being able to speak French is to shout louder in English and tars us all with the same brush. Tall people, short people, large people, ginger, people, people of different race or religion. Discrimination exists to some extent in all walks of life, I have seen it all my life but most people brush it off or ignore it. People have bad days, or don’t feel well or have something going on in their life that we have no idea about. There are no excuses for it and things are generally improving but it is a fact of life. I think the younger generation can be over sensitive about mild discrimination of all types. In most cases isn’t worth worrying about, put it down to ignorance and move on, life is too short.
11th March 2021 at 9:20 am #546354Decent people come in all colours, as do awful people come in all colours, so that just confirms that the colour of someone’s skin is ultimately irrelevant.
Anonymous11th March 2021 at 9:57 am #546364I agree with you there Fruitcake , especially , I quote :
“I think it would be normal/healthy in a mixed heritage family to think about/ discuss the place on the spectrum of new borns.”
