Even with big wool and big needles…I would need a lifetime …my mother was a great knitter…she said my fingers were like sausages for knitting…impossible to learn.
having said that I have a lifetime of making curtains…soft furnishings…
you are very clever!
The opposite for me, my mum taught me to knit (I can still remember me knitting a tiny orange scarf for my teddy bear while my mum was attending a tupperware meeting …), but couldn’t tame the sewing machine. I just couldn’t be gentle enough with the pedal …. Thanks to Covid, I’ve borrowed a sewing machine, looked at it in the eyes and took my courage in both hands. The sewing machine was kind enough to me and I did manage to do a lot of tissu masks (it was the “you can’t find any mask” time). I gave back the machine to the owner (my boss) and that was the end of a short love story (not my boss, the machine !).
