Just Stop Oil activists throw soup at Van Gogh’s Sunflowers after fellow protesters jailed.  Climate activists have thrown tomato soup over two Sunflowers paintings by Vincent van Gogh, just an hour after two others were jailed for a similar protest action in 2022.

Three supporters of Just Stop Oil walked into the National Gallery in London, where an exhibition of Van Gogh’s collected works is on display, at 2.30pm on Friday afternoon, and threw Heinz soup over Sunflowers 1889 and Sunflowers 1888.

The defendants embraced and blew kisses to the public gallery from the dock before they were led down to the cells.

    What are these people about?
The latter was the same work targeted by Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland in 2022. That pair are now among 25 supporters of Just Stop Oil in jail for climate protests.

My suggestion-send them all to Rwanda on a one way ticket.

See how the Rwandan government reacts to them throwing soup over artifacts…

Seems a waste of good soup to me!

I can understand why you might say that.

Then some years ago I was taken to the National Gallery in London, I was blown away!

The paintings were amazing brilliant and awesome. Some I thought were rubbish but each to their own.

    No exhibit should be souped!

Apart from anything how dare they attack anything that is valued by others.

what sort of human being doesn’t respect paintings ..sculptures …in fact anything that others enjoy.

find out what they love and enjoy …destroy it…see how they feel.
