Interesting map but too small to make sense of even on my 24″ monitor.  Could someone post the web address for it please?

I had no internet access for a while last night.  Not even Google would come up.  The connection to internet was working fine but unable to find any servers.

This happened to us yesterday and then late yesterday it returned to normal, also my daughter said they were updating the new style livebox’s (the small black one) and she had to manually restart hers and it worked fine this morning. :yahoo:

Don’t get over stressed if you look at the Attaques tab, they are always at silly levels, modern life I guess.

Ps. you can change the language to English if needed.

    Kind regards, Martin

Apparently the problem wasn’t Trump, Brexit, Amazon etc.

    Someone stole a battery.

From what I’ve been reading on a bunch of other fora Orange have been having pretty serious DNS problems for a couple of days.

I gave up on service provider DNS ages ago and use either Google’s public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or Open DNS (provided by Cisco) 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

You can change to using these either at router level (depending on what router you use) or in your device connection settings.

    For windows 8 / 10 users:

Right click on the connection icon

    Open connection and sharing centre

    Click on the connection

    Click on Properties

Click on Internet Connection Protocol TCP IP V4

Click on Use the following DNS server and input the server IP addresses you wish to use and click OK.

Do the same for TCP IPv6

The only issue with selection your own DNS is that some public hotspots require you to use the provided DNS to log in.

BTW don’t ask about how to do it in OSX because I neither know nor care and Android will use Google DNS by default

    Thanks for that information Barty.

Even after building and sorting problems with computers for twenty five years I learn something else new each day!!!

Your comment about Android explains why many Tablets have not been having the same connection problems as Windows and Apple computers…
