Just caught up after a busy week, what a treat, NM. Is there a wide range of music available that you can buy?
Gleaner, do post a photo when you get the candles lit, may be we could have another treat and even listen to the water as well, Wizard can sort it, he’s clever and isn’t too busy at the moment! Don’t hit the roof Wizard ( no pun intended).
Will try an do so Tigre. And if wizard could get the video addition done, then Ill be the first to contribute. I do have a you tube channel, but uploading takes ages and often stops, sadly.
Currently listening to the water falling and T-Rex in the back ground with I love to boogie playing, plus a glass of you know what in my hand…….
A word of appreciation goes out to @admin wizard and @witchypoo, who, during these stressful times during which they are having to undergo the changing of the guard, so to speak, they still manage to keep this site going. Mega appreciations guys.
Yes @tigre there is a wide selection of music available , I have seven pages of A4 , closely typed, of song titles and medleys from Melvyn Wright who is known worldwide for producing excellent paper music rolls. Many people would consider the price to be high. I have just purchased two rolls for 120 € ; one roll has four songs and the other has one song and two medleys ( Strauss and Scott Joplin) . I’ve had at least 60€ of enjoyment from these over the last four days , and if can bring a smile to others faces on here I consider it is well worth the cost .
So pin back yer lug ‘oles , ‘ere’s annuva !! ( sorry it’s a bit offkey in places , but enjoy !! )
I’ll look forward to listening to that later, NM, and I always say it doesn’t matter how much you pay for such things, if it’s an interest to you and gives you pleasure that’s all that matters.
Congratulations Gleaner and NM, wonderful both of you! I look forward to hearing both, yours NM when I’m on Firefox (can’t play videos on Chrome which I’m on now) and yours Gleaner when it becomes available (but don’t anyone play Up On The Roof!)
Yes well done to the dynamic duo, bless their cotton socks!
@newmiltonian, Mrs G just watched that recent one and said , quote “Oh, that makes me think of the sea side and the piers in the United Kingdom” . Brought a nice smile to her face. Thanks
Currently sat atop the cascades with w&c in hand on top of a rejuvenated Henri de bench looking out over the valley and enjoying the view with the sound of tinkling cascades to enhance the mood. Bottoms up peeps. :)…………………and the camera has just ran out of juice. :( Will post shots asap
Well done on your latest project @gleaner . Regarding uploading to Youtube , my phone records in mp4 format , but it does take about half an hour to upload about 2 – 3 minutes worth of video !! . Anyway , enjoy your cascades and your drink whilst overlooking le valley .
This first, second, third and fourth hand, and visual aid device, will be used in making the mushroom log lights. It calls for some very intricate and small soldering jobs thus freeing up my two hands for the job at hand. Constructed out of an old cree torch, loupe, bucket handles, two crocodile clips and the end of a railway sleeper.
Given that Christmas is approaching and that we don’t usually have a tree in the house, I thought that I would make several of these, see
The work is just about to start. So I will begin by showing two shots of this mornings endeavours.
First off, it’s a question of getting the lights made up and wired in the right way. It is pretty small soldering work involved, so expect some setbacks and sore thumbs and naughty words.
Oh wow, how interesting watching them being made. Good luck Gleaner, looking forward to seeing the end result. Alot of patience is needed, that’s for sure. I wished I had the patience to make some
