I look at my dogs and think isn’t it wonderful that they are not going to be terrified out of their wits from now through to the new year.
France celebrates Bastile and the new year with fireworks which is fine because you know exactly when it is going to happen and mostly in organised groups. I shall never forget the terrible times I had with my animals in the UK with fireworks going off pretty well every evening at various times from November right through till New Year. Apart from the total waste of money of letting off random fireworks, the number of injuries caused when idiots get hold of them and the misery caused to animals over this period, was and no doubt still is, totally unacceptable.

Totally agree johnp. A lot of dogs suffer greatly. I also saw some film today of a firework display being held very close to some stables and the poor horses were absolutely terrified. 🙁
That’s awful Jazzy! Poor horses!
I’d like to see a total ban. I am not a party-pooper but I love animals (more than people!) so their safety and welfare is more important to me.
