England have the luxury of playing tonight’s game as a friendly, knowing that they have qualified without a ball being kicked.
Perhaps this will give them the confidence to pass the ball to their attacking players who hopefully will be in or sprinting towards the opponents penalty area.
Maybe Southgate can give tired old Kane a rest and give a run out to a motivated and skilled youngster or two?
It will be on ITV1 kick off 9.00 pm French time.
It would be an improvement if after the first few minutes they actually try to run up the other end a score a goal, or 8, which after all is the idea of the game and for what they get paid vast amounts of money for doing.
So far I would be very upset if I had taken annual leave and spent my hard earned savings going to see the team play who haven’t been bothered. As players and Manager, I hope they feel ashamed so far. They owe us.

26th June 2024 at 8:18 am #600936It is being reported that Man U have sacked their manager. If that is what you get for winning the FA cup, good luck to the next victim.
Have you a link to this Bonjour? Can’t find anything about it.
England are playing again tonight. It seems according to UEFA.com that Southgate is keeping the same team.
So he hopes to get 0-0 after 90 minutes, 0-0 after extra time and hopes that England progress on penalties.
There is a saying that if you only do what you always do you will only get what you always get.
He has exciting and talented young players who are fit and hungry and who given a chance could likely put the game to bed in the first half. Why does he not utilise them?
Tonight’s opposition should be easily beatable by a motivated England but playing like we have is asking to be punished with knobs on.
