Just seen a news report on ITV News showing what people do to hunting dogs when they are too old and have outlived their use,it was absolutely disgusting and  i couldn,t eat my dinner after it,it has just reminded me why i don,t like this time of year here in France, totally depressing. :negative:

Why was it on ITV news , if it was in France ?

I’m anti-hunt , so just wondered what the reason was.

I read it that Topcat was referring to a news item about hunting dogs I presumed in the UK, and then said it was a reminder about hunts here in France?

Perhaps the hunters here in France look after their dogs better than the elite in the UK ?

    dunno , just wondering

I don’t think they class them as transient beings here

I don’t know much about hunting in the UK , but here it is a right that was won by the French revolution to the hunt which was previously only allowed by the aristocracy .

In our area , hunting dogs are owned by the hunters . I have a feeling that in the UK it is different ?

It would be good to know a bit more about the subject . Topcat ?

Don,t know enough about it to be sure, suffice to say the footage on ITV News was disgusting and barbaric. Not sure if the dogs are treated any better here in France.A friend of ours rescued an ex hunting dog  here in France who was destined for the chop as he had outlived his use.Once the dog had been trained properly,he turned out to be a lovely dog.

I take it then , that  the ITV news went for sensationalism , showing something to upset people ?
