Update:
For some reason known only to the customs, we had to take the car to Cherbourg Customs office to have the VIN number checked. A 4 hour round trip for a 5 minute meeting! At least we were handed the crucial certificate 846 A there and then. The Certificate de Conformite from BMW arrived shortly after. We are now waiting on ANTS! Nearly there, soon be on french plates!
Is it ok for the windows, or do you use something else please?
Don’t put polish on windows especially windscreens, or rubber or plastic parts. Auto Glym do a product called fast glass which is excellent although any window cleaning product will do and for plastic, an exterior spray is effective available at most supermarkets. Auto Glym make products for every cleaning job on a car inside and out but the cost soon adds up, there are cheaper alternatives but their polishes are in a league of their own in my opinion.
thanks JP, I will try the fast glass, the roof lights in the camping car are a nightmare to keep clean.
It is difficult enough as it is having to get up on the roof and with the overcab one curving down a head first slide to the ground is s real possibility. I therefore will use the best product for the job and hope it lasts.
