Dratted things are a nightmare to get right. I simmer them for 2 minutes then turn the heat off, cover with a lid and leave them for another 3 for a medium egg.
The phrase ‘can’t even boil an egg’ meaning someone can’t cook always makes me laugh – obviously invented by someone who’s never tried to soft boil an egg….
Fruitcake, I’ve now given up completely on ever seeing my sausage again, I won’t mention it again!
and an Ostrich egg needs to be boiled for two hours.
It’s still cooking, Dammit T, have patience…….
I just put the egg in the microwave and give it 10 minutes. When it explodes it is ready!
It’s all too late, Stinky, I’m shattered, bereft, finding every day tasks almost impossible, constantly bursting in to tears, can’t hold down a job anymore, my marriage is under a lot of strain! OK, then, I’ll wait a while longer.
