California’s Death Valley could reach a scorching 130 degrees next week and could come close to breaking its blistering world record as parts of the west, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic are under an intense heat wave forecast to intensify this weekend. 125 million people are under heat alerts with temperature highs forecast in the 100 to 120 range in the West, 80 to 100s across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

I do not like the cold and like the sunshine…..but whew this is hot!

So far in Normandy and Brittany…summer has been disappointing…first time I’ve said that in all the years we’ve been here…

Positive thoughts…the flowers are exceptional this year …and bug free…roses better than ever.

    cherries …luscious..and plentiful.

So the weather has had its advantages.

we have stocked up on wood…stacked and ready…

So …an Indian summer maybe?one big advantage of being English is that the weather really doesn’t bother me…im used to taking it for what it is.

There seems to be a huge divide between southern Europe (boiling) and northern Europe (wet, windy, and cool) this summer.

It’s like autumn here in East Sussex at the moment. Like Marmite I tend to take the weather as it comes & plan the day accordingly. Mind you, planning in advance is not so easy, I have had to re-pack my case twice in preparation for my week’s stay with my brother as the forecast keeps changing!

Our daughter and her OH have just returned from a week in Paros Greece and a few days in Athens.

Paros is one of the many Greek islands and is about as far south as Tunis north africa.

She said it was hot but not anything out of the ordinary for June/July in the Med.

The “boiling” adjective is just media hype supporting the climate propaganda.

Interesting to hear that Fitter, main stream press are suggesting the Greek Islands are all on fire with wild fires!

It’s wet here again this morning….16 th July and summer is really nowhere to be seen…the Uk isn’t doing any better.

Hope august and September will be better …but who knows?

reality is it’s not really bad…just not summer as we know it..as ever I feel sorry for the kids and parents on holiday.

Amusing kids when it’s raining especially if you’re not at home…tough and expensive.
