The greatest minds in all associated stuff were saying that it ‘may’ happen around the 2030 mark with my saying 2040 and some even saying never.

Today, I am watching videos where people are reporting rumours and whistle-blower who are saying it has occurred and is being kept from the public.
One important news item which ‘maybe’ linked in some way, is the firing of Sam Altman and now the
500 odd company employes calling for his immediate reinstatement.
This is a big story.

Trying to keep on top of developments regarding this subject here, but it is truly like playing a game of ‘Whick a mole’.

AGI or AI would have to pass the Ikea test and the Coffee test.

The Coffee Test (Wozniak)A machine is required to enter an average American home and figure out how to make coffee: find the coffee machine, find the coffee, add water, find a mug, and brew the coffee by pushing the proper buttons. This has not yet been completed.

You just know he would come in with a two or three word quip which would totally crack you up.
Trying to ascertain here if today’s claims have any validity to them in that AGI has been achieved and is now sentient!
Some forum contributors are speculating that ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) maybe, months, weeks, days even hours away!
Pour me a large one bartender.
Hold your horses with this one.
I suspect those claims are spurious.
