Hi,is anybody else getting plagued with large adverts taking over sections of this website,i don,t mean ads for local enterprises,but pointless large ads for travel etc in between postings.It only seems to have started in the last few days,or is it my computer?
Not just you Topcat. ’tis so annoying.

Most probably because the owner of the site has sold the advertising space to make some hard needed cash .
If you use Privacy Badger you’ll see all the ads which don’t track you, the small local ads on here, Timbertec etc, but you won’t see the intrusive ones. You can disable it for individual sites. I find it reduces the pain of being on line.
I’m using U-block, an ad blocker and haven’t seen any large intrusive ads on this site. Timbertec occasionally pops up at the bottom but doesn’t intrude.
I just realised, he is the guy we use for firewood. I highly recommend him.
Suddenly they have all disappeared !
