When you’re creating or replying to a topic, to add a photo, click on the last icon on the text toolbar, as in the photo below.

You’ll then be in the following screen.

After you’ve put the photo source/details, click OK and the photo should appear in your post.

If you get a message saying the photo is too large, it’s a question of too many bytes, I think 2mb is the maximum. In that case, visit Shrink Pictures to resize and re-save your photo.

Thank VK, I now understand how to send a photo, didn’t realise it was so easy !!

So, a question for you seasoned travellers :

Can you name the two French cities where these photos were taken ?

One is north and the other further south.

I have struggled for ages trying to suss it out but was too proud to ask, thinking I would be branded an idiot because I couldn’t do it.

Nobody’s an idiot, Pete, just lacking in experience. I put the topic up because Jo mentioned that she’d like to know how.

Pete, just before you click on OK, is there anything in the Source box, or is it empty?

The source box  as well as everything else remains empty, I click on the camera, select the photo etc but nothing happens, everything remains blank. I try to cut and paste  and when I click ‘ok’ all I get i a very small empty box on reply box.

I’ve tried clearing the ‘cache’ which sometimes helps with other problems but i’m stumped on this one ! The computer seems to be working fine otherwise.

Bizarre, that. Clicking on the camera should give you the option to copy one of your photos into the Source field. It’s obviously worked for you before now. With internet photos, try highlighting the photo’s address and use Ctrl-c for copying and, once the cursor’s in the Source box, Ctrl-v for pasting.

Well, developments here. Problem seems to be solved, I basically reset the firefox parameters which cleaned up the offending adware (I think) and all seems to be working for the mo.

    Et voila !!

I still have real problems posting photos. I’ve been trying for ages to post one from my own photos on this machine, but even though I follow the instructions when I click on the camera nothing happens. At least it does occasionally. I get the box that allows me to choose from my photo album, but only occasionally. Stymied once again…
